ChatGPT Work & Agentic Workflows

Use ChatGPT Work to research a brief, work with files and prepare a reviewed report, spreadsheet or presentation.

Practical skills. A clear purpose.

Learn to delegate a sequence of work in ChatGPT Work: define the result, supply the context, review the plan and check the finished files. Here, agentic workflows mean allowing AI to carry out several steps with suitable tools while you control the scope and decisions. The workshop uses familiar office tasks to practise research, document preparation and working with data, with clear review points before the results are used or shared.

What you will practise

  • Write a task brief with a defined outcome, source material and review criteria
  • Plan a sequence from research and files to a useful workplace deliverable
  • Check sources, calculations and document structure before sharing the result
  • Set approval points for sending, publishing or changing information in other tools

Inside the workshop

From understanding to application.

Define the work and its boundaries

Choose a suitable task, specify the audience and output, and decide which decisions need your input. Compare a quick chat task with work that benefits from several steps.

Gather context and research

Use approved sample files and relevant sources to prepare a research brief. Separate supported findings from assumptions and check the evidence behind key claims.

Turn the brief into useful files

Work through a report, spreadsheet or presentation exercise. Review the plan, inspect intermediate results and request focused changes to the content or structure.

Review, approve and reuse

Check the finished work against the brief, verify important facts and totals, and retain the instructions for another run. Practise approval boundaries for external actions.

Who this is for

  • Professionals who prepare reports, research briefs and presentations
  • Administration, HR, finance and operations teams working with documents and data
  • ChatGPT users ready to move from individual prompts to a complete work process

The final outline, duration, materials and account requirements are agreed in the proposal. Share your team’s starting point and a suitable example of the work you want to improve.

Good questions

Before the session.

What does an agentic workflow mean in this workshop?

It means giving ChatGPT a defined outcome and letting it plan and carry out a sequence of steps using the context and tools available. You still set the boundaries, answer necessary questions and check the result. The workshop focuses on work you can inspect, such as a research brief, report or spreadsheet.

Which ChatGPT account or features do participants need?

We confirm the available ChatGPT Work features, file access and permitted tools before finalising the exercises. Availability depends on the account, platform and workspace settings. The programme does not assume that every participant has the same features or access to connected workplace systems.

What will participants practise creating?

Depending on the agreed scope, exercises can include a research brief with source links, a report from approved notes, a checked spreadsheet summary or a presentation outline and slides. The final exercise is chosen around your team’s work and available tools.

Do we need to write code or connect company accounts?

No coding background is required for this workplace programme. Exercises can use prepared sample files. Any connected tool must be permitted by your organisation, and sending, publishing or changing external information requires a clear approval step in the workflow.
